About the Role

The Business Intelligence & Analytics team is responsible for providing business analytics data products and solutions for internal business unit stakeholders. If you’re keen to conduct careful analyses focused on core business problems, operational analysis, measurement, and instrumentation in an intellectually engaging environment, you’ll enjoy working at Packsize as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst.

As a senior member of this team, you will be expected to provide mentorship to other team members, including sharing analytic insights, helping to structure problems, and supporting managers by reviewing work. You will be assigned responsibilities for leading and reporting on projects from across the organization. The ability to turn analytic results into digestible and engaging stories will be important for success, as will patience in the face of analytic uncertainty. Your strong computational training and background, collaborative spirit, and hands-on approach to solving problems will mark you as an ideal candidate for this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with the Manager, Business Intelligence and Analytics on various projects, including data integration(s), process improvements, and data and system maintenance
  • Oversee various internal departments and be responsible for all BI/Analytics requests

  • Be a subject matter expert for multiple business systems such as SAP, Domo, Salesforce, and other systems

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the business intelligence team, promoting their professional growth and development

  • Translate business requirements into data models, visualizations, and ensure accurate and automated self-serving dashboards

  • Promote higher data consistency and improved data quality by coordinating data governance activities

  • Lead cross-functional projects, providing direction and support to produce high quality deliverables that stand the test of time

  • Establish, follow, and hold others accountable to best practices for collecting, analyzing, and generating insights

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or similar in business management, information systems, software engineering, or finance, with at least 8 years of professional experience preferred; or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or equivalent with at least 3 years of professional experience
  • Ability to distill complex information into easily consumable reports, statements and communications that provides insights, enabling quick decision making

  • Hands-on experience in business intelligence, reporting, and analytics, with experience in creating complex algorithms, formulas, and calculations

  • Expertise in SQL, ETL, MS Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides required.

  • Experience in Python, R, JavaScript or other scripting languages required.

  • Experience and expertise in Domo and Snowflake required.

  • Strong ability to communicate and influence across disparate groups and levels in the organization and manage multiple stakeholder expectations, timelines, and deliverables

  • Proactively initiates, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with team members

  • Solid project management skills

  • Ideal candidate will be forward thinking and provide strategic direction on internal systems, including optimal integration of company systems

  • Strong analytic acumen and a deep understanding of how relational tables interact

  • Commitment to client needs and satisfaction, humility in the face of constructive, well-meaning feedback, and production of high-quality work that builds trust and confidence with stakeholders
