About the Role

The Supply Chain Specialist will manage the suppliers for Packsize top spend category. This includes negotiating on price, terms, and contracts for key suppliers. This person will analyze total supply chain costs including purchasing, shipping, and warehousing to reduce total landed cost. The Supply Chain Specialist will work with Quality Engineers and Customer Operations to ensure quality specifications are met and corrective actions are in place. The Supply Chain Specialist will identify supply chain risks and provide risk reduction solutions. This individual will use Business Intelligence Tools to drive decisions and will create their own data reports.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage suppliers in Packsize’s top spend category, negotiating price, terms, and contracts
  • Analyze total supply chain costs including purchasing, shipping, and warehousing to reduce total landed cost
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Customer Operations to ensure quality specifications and corrective actions
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • Utilize Business Intelligence tools to generate data-driven insights and create custom reports
  • Work with customers to gather order forecasts and ensure readiness to meet demand
  • Collect and act on order and delivery feedback to optimize procurement and logistics processes
  • Prepare quarterly volume forecasts and lead Quarterly Board Reviews with suppliers
  • Partner with customers and Sales to implement solutions improving service and delivery
  • Maintain accuracy of business analytics tools and update product prices using quarterly indices
  • Lead initiatives to find additional storage options for materials
  • Prepare for peak demand surges by identifying supply risks in advance

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management
  • Strong understanding of supply chain cost components, including purchasing, shipping, warehousing, and landed cost calculations
  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel) and ability to create, analyze, and present supplier performance reports and data-driven insights
  • Experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, and understanding product breakdown structures
  • Knowledge of quality control processes with proven ability to collaborate effectively with Quality Engineering teams
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk management strategies
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with a track record of identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, operations, procurement, and logistics teams
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in supplier negotiations and internal collaboration
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% within EMEA to visit suppliers
  • Experience working in an international, multicultural environment

  • Experience with MRP systems and SAP
  • Experience working in the corrugated or paper industry
