IT Support Engineer

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company’s desktop computing environment by analyzing user needs, resolving technical issues, installing hardware and software, and supporting the internal IT Helpdesk. You will manage and support company PCs, servers, printers, and related hardware and software, while also handling IT asset management, license tracking, and system upgrades. Additionally, you will assist in administering key enterprise applications such as Okta and Microsoft 365. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality technical support across the organization.

What You'll do

  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Deliver comprehensive helpdesk assistance and proficiently address issues to ensure optimal resolution and utmost satisfaction for end users.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
  • Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
  • Document internal procedures
  • Install, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software
  • Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses
  • Manage mobile devices for all Packsize employees through Intune and FreshService
  • Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory
  • Running multi-media conferencing solutions. Work with meeting stakeholders to present relevant content

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in IT support-related roles such as helpdesk technician, support engineer, or technical support specialist.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Windows, and Apple operating systems
  • Experience with DNS/DHCP, Client VPN, and Active Directory
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), mobile devices, and other computer hardware
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Flexible and solution-oriented approach to work

Nice to have

  • Ability to speak Dutch or other European languages
  • Microsoft MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals) certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • FreshService ticketing system
  • Experience with Workday
