About the Role
Packsize is conducting a search for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our talented team. You will provide strategic Human Resources support to our new manufacturing assembly facility located in the Amsterdam, Netherlands area. You will partner with the Business Unit’s senior leaders, managers and employees to develop and execute HR and organizational strategies and accomplish our business goals. You will develop and/or execute HR plans, processes and programs aligned with the business goals including organizational design, succession planning, talent and performance management, employee engagement, compensation, learning and development; becoming a trusted advisor and counsel to leadership teams, as well as a strong resource for our team members.
What You’ll Do
Provide advice and counsel to members of the management team and team members related to employment policies, employee relations matters and employment law and regulations.
Conduct thorough investigations in accordance with company and legal guidelines. Provide guidance and counsel to management on conflict resolution, HR and employee relation issues as arises. Reviews and approves separations and disciplinary actions. Coaches management on employee development and performance management conversations.
Partner with management and team members to build positive work relationships and morale while increasing productivity and retention.Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.
Maintain understanding and knowledge of business operations by attending staff meetings and being visible to employees and management.
Provide change management support, as needed.
Build and maintain partnerships with management by identifying human resource solutions that support the current and future needs of the business.
Liaise with specialized HR functional groups and Centers of Excellence to maximize team member and customer support.
Provide Human Resources consultation and support for the designated business units to define and execute HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives.
Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all team members receive fair and equitable treatment.
Conduct HR training on various topics (i.e. harassment, new team member orientation, supervisor policy/procedural training, interviewing skills, etc.) as needed.
Utilize knowledge of human resources functions to provide tactical support to line managers.
Conduct exit interviews to understand turnover trends and proactively implement retention strategies, when applicable.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
Participate in Human Resources and operational projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
Strong understanding of Dutch and European labor laws
Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively, to recognize, understand and manage one’s own emotions as well as others, and foster positive working relations across all levels of the organization. Exceptional written and oral communication skills with ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization and within the community. Strong presentation skills are critical.
Hold yourself responsible and be self-driven in accomplishing business goals, adhering to policies and being responsible for one’s own actions, performance and decisions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and using an HRIS
Bachelor Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Minimum of 4-6 years experience as HR Business Partner with emphasis on employee relations, performance management and training.
Working Environment and Physical Demands
Periodic travel between facilities
5-10% travel
Must be able to work effectively in an office setting
